Need Some Live Journal Help

I'm hoping one of you live journal savvy people can help me. I'd like to put a header pic up at the top of my LJ, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to do that. I have a Plus Account and I've noticed that others with the same type of LJ account have nice banners, so I figure it can be done. Any help would be greatly appreciated! You'd definitely be saving my sanity *g*!

It has something to do with the theme you use. Not all themes offer the possibility to do this. For the tspodfic community I use a theme that specifically offers the option to use an image as page header. It's the "Nebula" theme. Usually you find all image-related options under "Customize your Theme" --> Style.

If the theme doesn't specifically offer the option to use an image as page header it might offer the possibility to other configuration options that you can use toward a similar result: a background image combined with configuring your journal to be offset a certain number of pixels from the top. I played around with this once but unfortunately I can't remember which theme I used. One might have been "Smooth Sailing", and -- if I remember correctly -- the option to configure the journal offset could be found under "Customize your Theme" --> "Display".
